Details

WoolAid Wellness Packs are sustainable, adhesive bandages crafted from hyperfine Merino wool, offering a breathable, biodegradable, and antimicrobial alternative to plastic plasters. These 15-pack, New Zealand-designed, latex-free bandages are ideal for treating blisters, cuts, and scrapes, with the fabric breaking down in soil in about 4 months.

Pack Includes 10x Navy Rectangular 76x19mm and 5 Maroon square 38x38mm

Before You Apply

Clean the wound thoroughly. Rinse the affected area under clean running water to remove any dirt, debris or foreign material. If available, use a mild antiseptic solution. Pat the surrounding skin dry with a clean cloth or towel. The adhesive will not stick properly to wet, oily or dirty skin.

For deeper cuts, puncture wounds, animal bites or wounds that will not stop bleeding, seek medical attention rather than applying a bandage at home.

How To Apply

  1. Wash and dry your hands before handling the bandage.
  2. Open the bandage wrapper and remove the bandage without touching the absorbent pad in the centre.
  3. Peel back the protective liners from the adhesive strips on each side.
  4. Place the absorbent pad directly over the wound, ensuring it fully covers the affected area.
  5. Press the adhesive strips down firmly on either side, smoothing them onto the surrounding skin to create a secure hold.
  6. Run your finger along the edges of the bandage to ensure it is seated against the skin.

While Wearing

Check the bandage periodically. If it becomes wet, soiled or begins to peel away, replace it with a fresh bandage. Because merino wool breathes naturally and manages moisture, you may find WoolAid bandages stay comfortable for longer than plastic alternatives. The wool fibre also resists odour build up, so the bandage stays fresher during extended wear.

How To Remove

When you are ready to change or remove the bandage, gently lift one edge and slowly peel it back along the skin. If the bandage feels firmly adhered, dampen it with warm water for a few seconds to help loosen the adhesive before removing. Do not rip the bandage off quickly, as this can irritate the skin or disturb the wound.
