About the Artist

Brenda Knight discovered her talent for art after finishing her career as a Police Detective in Christchurch. With no previous expectation that art would become her next chapter, she began creating pieces for a newly renovated home — and what started as an experiment grew into a successful artistic career.

Her work has gone on to receive recognition at the Christchurch Art Show, where she has been named among its Top 10 artists on multiple occasions.

For Brenda, art is about more than what we see on the wall. She believes the energy placed into an artwork can be felt by those who experience it and is passionate about the positive effect beautiful art and public spaces can have on wellbeing and communities.
