Made in the Wairarapa, this flavour-packed kasundi is hot, spicy and tangy, with the fruit flavours coming through first before the chilli delivers its kick. Feijoa and apple are blended with green chilli, garlic, ginger, turmeric, mustard seeds and spices to create a wonderfully versatile addition to the pantry.

Serve alongside roast chicken, pork or lamb, add a spoonful to sandwiches and platters, or turn it into an incredibly easy curry base — simply stir two tablespoons into a tin of coconut cream and build your favourite curry from there.
